]]>LED Light Parameters You Must Know
When we buy LED lights, we will see that a series of parameters are printed on their packings. Actually most people don't understand what they mean, so we are going to make a brief introduction below.
Power is measured in watts, which reflects the amount of electricity consumed by an LED light in one hour. For example, a 50W LED light consumes 50W * 1H = 50WH in one hour. So the LED lights with higher power will consume more electricity.
This is the voltage required by the LED light when it is working. Different LED lights have different working voltages, including AC220V~AC240V (for most countries), AC110V~130V (mainly for American countries), and also wide-input voltage, such as AC85-265V (can be used in almost all countries). There are also some LED lights that use low voltages, such as DC24V and DC12V. Low-voltage LED lights are usually powered by adapters, solar energy or batteries.
The LED models we often see include 2835, 5730, 5050, 3014, 3030 and 3535, etc. These numbers represent the sizes of the LED chips. For example, the size of 2835 is 2.8mm*3.5mm. The size of 5050 is 5.0mm*5.0mm. General speaking, the LED chip with different size has different power and brightness, so different LED light will apply different LED chips according to its design.
Color temperature, also called correlated color temperature (CCT), defines the color appearance of a LED light. CCT is defined in degrees Kelvin. A warm light is around 3000K, moving to neutral white at around 4000K, and to cool white, at 5000K or more.
In photometry, luminous flux or luminous power is the measure of the perceived power of light. It differs from radiant flux, the measure of the total power of electromagnetic radiation (including infrared, ultraviolet, and visible light), in that luminous flux is adjusted to reflect the varying sensitivity of the human eye to different wavelengths of light.
Luminous efficacy is a measure of how well a light source produces visible light. It is the ratio of luminous flux to power, measured in lumens per watt in the International System of Units (SI). Depending on context, the power can be either the radiant flux of the source's output, or it can be the total power (electric power, chemical energy, or others) consumed by the source. Which sense of the term is intended must usually be inferred from the context, and is sometimes unclear. The former sense is sometimes called luminous efficacy of radiation, and the latter luminous efficacy of a light source or overall luminous efficacy.
CRI is short for Color Rendering Index, which measures the ability of a light source to accurately reproduce the colors of the object it illuminates. It is a score with a maximum of 100.
Power factor (PF) is the ratio of working power and an expression of energy efficiency. It is usually expressed as a percentage—and the lower the percentage, the less efficient power usage is. The LED lights are better with higher power factor.
Beam angle is simply the measurement of light distribution. A smaller beam angle results in little light distribution and a concentrated, directional illumination.
IP is short for Ingress Protection. Generally speaking, an IP label will take the format: IPXY, where X is the light fixtures protection against intrusion by dust and other solids and Y is its protection against water and vapor penetration.
X (or protection against solids and dust intrusion) ranges between 0 and 6; with 0 being the least protected and 6 being the most guarded.
Y (or protection against liquid and vapor intrusion) ranges between 0 and 8; with protection strength increasing as you move from 0 to 8.
The lifespan of an LED light is measured in hours. It is usually 30,000 hours or 50,000 hours. This is the lifespan in theory. It will be influenced by some factors of the environment, such temperature and humidity.
They are easy to understand, that is the temperatures required by an LED light in working and storing. If the temperatures are not in the ranges required, the lifespan of the LED light might be influenced.
Normally suppliers will provide warranties for their products. They are often from 1 to 5 years. If the LED light fails during the warranty period, the supplier will provide a new light or parts for replacement or maintenance.

"Lampu LED" adalah istilah yang mencakup banyak jenis LED lights. ]]>Bagaimana Cara Mengatur Sistem Lampu Banjir LED DMX Nirkabel?
After receiving our products, please check if all accessories are complete as below.
1. Every flood light fixture contains an antenna.
2. Controller kit (it contains an SD card, an AC-DC adapter, a USB cable and a remote control).
3. Wireless transmitter (it contains an antenna, an AD-DC adapter and a DMX cable).
Sometimes we will pack all accessories into the same carton. Please confirm with us.
The whole system mainly includes three parts: Pengontrol DMX(with remote control), wireless transmitter and light fixtures.
The DMX controller and the wireless transmitter should be connected together by a DMX cable. The transmitter will convert the wired DMX signals to wireless DMX signals and spread it to all light fixtures. After receiving the wireless signals, each light fixture will decode it and show the corresponding color and effect.
1. Install the light fixture.
Our light fixtures can be installed on the floor, ceiling, wall or light pole.
The wires info of the power supply: Red is Live wire, Blue is Neutral wire, Yellow is Ground wire.
2. Install the antennas
There is a holder for installing antenna on the bottom of the light fixture. Please screw the antenna into the holder well by clockwise direction as the following picture. The antenna is foldable.

The light fixture will show the default color or last color when it is given power.
3. Install the controller
The controller contains an SD card which stores the default programs, an adapter and a remote control. Insert the SD card into the controller and connect all cables well.
4. Install the wireless transmitter
The wireless transmitter contains an antenna, an adapter and a DMX cable which is used to connect the controller. Install the antenna well and connect the transmitter and the controller together by the DMX cable.
Please note there are four dip switches on the back side of the transmitter. Set 1, 2, 3 down and 4 up as the following picture. Usually the manufacturer has made this default setting.
When you power up the controller and the transmitter, do not forget to push the power button on the back side of the transmitter. Its LEDs will blink after working.
After the controller and transmitter start to work, you can use the remote control to choose the programs. For example, press key 1 and press key PRG then the 1st program will be chosen. Before you use the remote control, please make sure it contains a battery inside. We normally take off it before the shipment. You can buy it in your local stores.
Following is our default programs with their serial numbers:
0. red
1. green
2. blue
3. white
4. yellow
5. orange
6. cyan
7. purple
8. red fading
9. green fading
10. blue fading
11. white fading
12. red/green/blue changing
13. 7 colors changing
14. shutdown

RD: membaca alamat awal lampu.
TAMBAHKAN+: menambah alamat untuk menulis.

LD: kirim perintah untuk menulis alamat.
Prosedur untuk menggunakan penulis alamat kami:
1. Buka rumah di bagian bawah lampu, Anda akan melihat konektor.
2. Cabut konektor di bagian belakang lampu, dan colokkan konektor penulis alamat ke lampu.
3. Lampu kami memiliki empat alamat berkelanjutan (versi RGBW adalah empat, versi RGB adalah tiga). Jika alamat awal adalah 1, maka alamat selanjutnya adalah 2, 3 dan 4. Menekan RD tombol pada penulis alamat, Anda akan mendapatkan alamat awal lampu. Jika Anda ingin menulis alamat baru untuk lampu, silakan atur alamat awal dengan menyesuaikan tombol TAMBAHKAN+ atau MENAMBAHKAN-, dan terakhir tekan LD tombol. Setelah selesai menulis alamat, silakan tekan RD tombol untuk memverifikasi apakah alamat awal sudah benar.
4. Putuskan sambungan penulis alamat dan lanjutkan kembali konektor sebelumnya. Jika tidak, fungsi nirkabel tidak dapat digunakan.

Operating system requirement:

First, chain all the lights together by DMX cables and connect the first light to DMX1 port of the DMX controller. At the same time, connect the controller to the computer by USB cable.
The driver will be installed automatically when the system finds the device.
1> Click menu Lib Editor->Open Lib Editor.exe and a new window will pop up as below.
2> Select Color/PAR/Custom fixture type. Fill Fixture name, such as myfixtures. Set Total Channels to 3 (For RGB fixtures, it should be 3. But for RGBW fixtures, it should be 4).
On the field of Channel define, enable checkbox Enable RGB, and set Red Channel to 1, Green Channel to 2 Dan Blue Channel to 3.
3> Click tab Channel Description on the top of this window, set different icons for the channels as below.
4> Don't close this window and change back to tab Fixture Config, click Save Lib on the right bottom.
1> Click menu Add/Remove Fixtures(A)->Add/Remove Fixtures, a new window will pop up.
2> On the left field, choose myfixtures that we created just now, and click Add button on the middle. A new window will pop up.
3> Set the Number of Fixtures to Add to the actual quantity of the light fixtures(here we set 1 for example). Set DMX Universe is to 1 and DMX StartAddress to 1 as well(It should be according to the actual start address of the fixtures, normally the start address of our fixture is 1). And finally click Add button.
The fixtures' names and their addresses will be shown on the right table of the window. Finally click OK button.
After we add the fixtures, on the top left of the software, each channel will be shown as below (channel 1 is Red, channel 2 is Green, channel 3 is Blue). Now you can adjust the colors of the fixtures by adjusting the slide bars.
Now let us customize a scene for demonstration.
Demonstration Scene: RGB fading effect. Each color will be showing for 3 seconds, and the fading time for each color is also 3 seconds.
1> Set R :255, G:0 and B:0 by using the slide bars. On the field Time(Second), set the Keep time to 3 Dan Fade time to 3 too. Click Insert Scene button.
After inserting this sub scene, you will see it on the table that is on the bottom of the software.
2> Set R :0, G:255 and B:0 by using the slide bars. On the field Time(Second), set the Keep time to 3,and Fade time to 3 too. Click Insert Scene button. You will see the sub scene 2.
3> Set R :0, G:0 and B:255 by using the slide bars. On the field Time(Second), set the Keep time to 3,and Fade time to 3 too. Click Insert Scene button. You will see the sub scene 3.
4> Let us click Play button to run the scene, you will see the effect of fixtures.
5> Save the scene finally.
The file name should be 000 to 999. It will be added with postfix .shw. You can copy this file to the Show folder on the SD card of the controller. And you will be able to choose this scene by using the remote control of the controller when it runs in the SD card offline working model.
Tips:
If you have multiple fixtures needed to be set with the same color, you can use Group Control function.

]]>Panduan Pengontrol DMX (Model Kartu SD & Model Online PC)
As we have introduced the functions of the DMX controller and decoder in the last post, the controller is the control center of the whole DMX system and it will send DMX signals to each DMX LED light. After receiving the DMX signals, the decoder on each light will convert them into raw electric signals and command the light to display color, adjust brightness or run special effect. You can use the controller offered from the manufacturers or buy it by yourself. DMX controllers are universal and can be used for any DMX device. But they are still different as well as their corresponding programming software if from different suppliers.
In general, we provide the following DMX controller by default.
Our controller supports maximum 512 channels. It has the following input/output ports:
2 DMX ports: DMX1 can be configured for input or output; DMX2 is only for output.
1 5V USB port: for input, mainly for supplying power and transferring data when connected to computer.
1 RS232 port: not used.
1 RJ45 port: not used.
Our controller still integrates with an SD card and has a remote control. We will introduce how to use them below.
Our controller has two working models: SD card offline working model Dan PC online working model. The SD card of the controller should be used when it is in SD card offline working model, while the controller should be connected to the computer by USB cable when it is in PC online working model.
The controller will choose SD card offline working model if not connected to computer. It is also the model which our customers use most. We have already prepared an SD card with some default programs inside it for you. Please check these programs below. By running these programs, the lights can present some basic colors and changing effects as below.
000: red
001: green
002: blue
003: white
004: yellow
005: orange
006: cyan
007: purple
008: red color with fading effect
009: green color with fading effect
010: blue color with fading effect
011: white color with fading effect
012: red, green, blue, white changing
013: seven colors with classical changing effect
014: shut down
You can also copy the programs which you make by our programming software into the SD card. You will notice that each program is with a number, such as 001, 002, 003…The next step is to insert the SD card to the controller as the following picture.
When the controller starts to work, it will run the default program which is usually 001.dsw. So what you should do if you want to choose other programs? At this time you need to use the remote of our controller. Before you use it, you should make sure it has been installed with the battery because we usually take off its battery before shipping (batteries are usually not allowed in the shipments). For example, if we want to choose program 002, we need to press keys 002 or 2 first, and then press PNG key on the top right. If you enter a wrong number, you can use key OK or STOP to cancel it.

Sometimes you might find that you cannot choose a program successfully and you are not sure if it has communicated to the controller successfully. Here is a tip: the LED light on the back of the controller will blink when you press the keys if the remote has communicated to the controller successfully. With this tip, you can find out the cause of the problem more easily.
In general, most customers' requirements are not very complicated. They only require some normal colors or changing effects. The default programs on our SD card have been sufficient to meet their requirements. So usually they will only use the SD card offline working model of our controller. But there are a few customers who are familiar with DMX and even use other DMX controllers before. If they want to control the colors or program by themselves, they should use the PC online working model.
If you want to use the PC online working model, you should connect our controller to the computer by USB cable. After the system installs the driver automatically and successfully, you can open our software to control the lights. How to use our programming software? We will present the manual in the next post.

]]>Apa Fungsi Dekoder DMX dan Pengontrol DMX?
We've mentioned in another post that an LED light usually consists of 3 parts: LED chips, LED driver and housing. But DMX LED light is special, which still includes a built-in Dekoder DMX. In addition, All DMX LED lights belonging to a same system need to work with an external Pengontrol DMX.
So, what are the functions of the DMX decoder and controller?
First, let’s look at a real photo of one of our DMX LED flood light.
We can see that there are two drivers (on the top and bottom) and a decoder (on the center) on the back of the light. Two black cables out from the drivers are led to the decoder which has three output cables – two black cables and one white cable. One black cable is for DMX input signal while the other is for DMX output signal. And the white cable is connected to the LED chips in order to provide power and controlling signals for them.
So, the Pengontrol DMX acts like a control center of the whole light. It receives the external DMX signals, decode them to original electric signals, and control the behaviors of the LED chips – on/off, colors and brightness, etc. And it will also forward the DMX signals to the next DMX device.
The DMX decoders from different companies are different. They can also be bought from the normal market directly. Our DMX decoder was designed and produced by ourselves, which is strong and runs very stably.
On the other hand, what is the function of DMX controller?
We have known that decoder is the control center of the whole light. Similarly, controller is the control center of the whole DMX system. In general, one DMX system only has one controller that controls the behavior of each light – on/off, colors, brightness, etc. Usually the controller is programmable and it has included some default programs in its memory. By running these programs, the lights can display some basic colors (red, green, blue, white, etc.) and changing effects (fading, jumping, flashing, etc.). The lights can display more complicated color effects by programming the controller.
Question: Must I use your controller if I buy your Lampu LED DMX?
Answer: Not really. Because DMX (usually refer to DMX512) is a standard. All DMX LED lights or controllers support this standard so you can use other DMX controllers instead. So while you are buying our DMX LED lights, we usually suggest you to use your own controller if you have a familiar one, then you can avoid spending too much time learning our controller.

]]>What Benefits You Can Get by Using LED Lights?
We all know that LED lights are energy-saving. Even with very low wattages, they have been very bright and can meet our requirements. Actually there are still many benefits by using LED lights. Let’s check them below.
We have mentioned that LED lights are energy-saving above. They can save at least several times of energy than traditional lights such as incandescent bulb, halogen lamp, fluorescent lamp, high pressure sodium lamp, mercury lamp, etc. For example, a 5W LED bulb is equivalent to a 40W incandescent bulb. That means it only consumes 1/8 power! The following is a comparison table of LED lights to traditional lights for your reference.
The lifespan of LED lights in theory is 50,000 hours. But it is very hard to reach such a long lifespan in practice. Because the lifespan of LED lights will be influenced by the temperature, humidity and the way people use LED lights in real environment. But a good quality LED light can be used at least 3 years or 5 years, even 10 years! It is cool, isn’t it?
Normally the prices of LED lights are a little higher than traditional lights, but their wattages are lower so you can pay less for electricity. And as we have mentioned above, LED lights have a very long lifespan, then you don’t need to replace them often. So you can save a big cost in the long run.
Too dim or too bright light and blue light will do harm to our eyes. By using proper color temperature and dimming function of the LED lights can make our eyes reach a comfortable level. On the other hand, LED lights don’t flicker, which will protect our eyes in some extent. We can avoid blue light when we select correct color temperatures. For example, in many libraries 4000K or 5000K color temperature is adopted, because they are the closest to the sun light.
A lot of traditional lights contain harmful chemicals. For example, compact fluorescent light contains mercury which not only pollutes environment but does harm to human body as well. The more compact fluorescent lights are used, the more mercury chemical are accumulated. This problem doesn’t happen on LED lights, and many parts of LED lights can be recycled.
For the same kind of traditional light, its color temperature is difficult to customize due to the limitations of its light-emitting material. But this is very flexible on LED lights. It is easy to customize warm white (2700K-3200K), neutral white (4000K-4500K), cold white (5000K-5500K/6000K-6500K) or special color temperatures ( RGB, 25000K, 2200K, etc) for LED lights.
Most traditional lights are made of glass which are easy to damage if dropped onto floors carelessly by people. But most LED lights are made of plastic, aluminum or stainless steel materials, there are no worries even they are dropped onto floors. Only a small part of LED lights contain glass.
There are many troubles when we use traditional lights. For example, when we install fluorescent lamps, we still need to install extra ballast and starters for them, but most LED lights are very easy to use. Except for lampu LED tegangan rendah, most LED lights can work under city electricity directly without any extra components.
There are still many benefits by using LED lights, so we are not able to list them one by one here. But we need to learn the special features and notes of the LED lights when we use them, then we can make the most of them.
